Can't remember hearing that. I remember someone (SJ1?) mentioning that there were plans to have the Kanetsu Expressway extend to Naeba (or an IC going from Tsuchitaru to Naeba anyway).... that being the reason Prince had that tiny Tsuchitaru skijo just on the Yuzawa side of the Kanetsu tunnel.

If you have the JR pass, there are far worse ways to get around than a shink to Takasaki and then a shink to Nagano!

Anyone else noticed how almost all Japanese people back in to a parking space? Even if it makes more sense to just drive into it, circumstance 'n all. Not sure what the advantages of doing that without fail are, but I suppose it must be something that is taught.... Check it out next time, sometimes without exception everyone is backed in.

The last 10 years or so there seems to have been real downsizing in Prince related operations. Isn't Naeba still the jewel in the prince crown?
