  1. Ichinose is the most popular part of Sihiga Kogen, and but a fraction of the total. Mid February is peak season, you would expect them to be somewhat busy then. The ridiculous thing is, they could have left their English site up and just updated any info that changed... surely not much. But, no, take the whole thing down. Some owners I know are right pissed with the kanko kyokai.
  2. From what I am hearing, Shiga Kogen resorts generally are balking at anything that costs anything this season. Some strange stories going round. The official Shiga Kogen english website has been abandoned as well - they don't think it's worth it apparently and with their cost cutting, that's what got the cut. Wouldn't expect much new in SK.
  3. With so much so closeby I feel I should be saying a bigger number. But.... 20 is my target.
  4. Thats a shame it was on my list of places that I would probably had never gotten to anyway but it was on the list all the same.

Negative experiences include anger, stress, sadness, physical pa
  6. Are we perhaps going to try and get a meet up going this season again? It kind of didn't happen last year did it..
  7. If English is easy, as many Japanese say (whereas Nihongo is muzukashii), why are most Japanese so poor at English. That needs to go in the ponder thread perhaps.
  8. I don't know but I would certainly recommend sorting something out before then. Surely you would want to pick up before getting to Hakuba as well?
  9. This year we want it COMPLETELY gone. It was nearly there last year. All depends on timing with when they decide to clean the snow up. Need a long stretch of heavy and consistent snowfall. Obviously!
  10. Yes it's just by the skijo. Far left as you look towards the mountain.
  11. Yamanouchi covers a wide area but in the middle of the town is kind of in the middle of lots of resorts - but you will need to travel a bit whether you go up to Shiga Kogen, or over to Ryuoo or over to Madarao etc.
  12. Nearly time to think about changing. Such a pain having to do it though.
  13. Funny how Hakuba got all that lot, we didn't get much in this area really. Tables will be turned soon enough, no doubt.
