Great site brit grob I got 9/10.I think its quite easy to tell a psycho. Plus the old geezers would'nt have been around binary days. -
like a hyphen - through the vertical axis of 7.(halfway) Don't worry I'd never seen it before either..weird
-
Yeah I'm sure they do also (although I've never asked anyone)...I used to have to write numbers on a whiteboard all day and would get grief for not putting a bar through the 7 (pedantic I know) but it could get mistaken for a 1!....Interesting...

Where I used to work on a mountain in Hyogo they used to leave the keys in all the bikes and we would stealth out at night and chase each other around on them....great fun until someone wrote one off and we all had to pitch in to cover it...it was worth heaps supposedly....That guy still owes me 25000 yen.... -

yeah....you can't always be on time can you?
-
I've finally figured it out why I'm always gutsing it to get on the train in the morning....The reason you see is that I sit down whilst in the shower in the morning....I know its a very Japanese thing to do....but if I can break that habit then I reckon I'll nearly be on time for work...What other reasons have people got (besides the dog ate my homework/ report etc)...for rocking up late in the morn....???
-
yeah a bloke from my work witnessed this happening on a train and leaned over and belted the guy(who was sitting down).....then some old battle axe started battering him with her handbag as she thought he wanted the chikans seat!...I would have paid to have seen that!

Best shop in Jimbotcho
boardbaka replied to packedlunch's topic in Snow talk, trip reports, Japan avalanche & backcountry
You should head to "Reds" is well known...on the main strip....One of the other brilliant things about this area is most the shops have maps of the area listing all "competing " shops names and in my eperience the staff are more than happy to point you in the right direction. A bit different from the UK where 8 out of ten people admitted to sending tourists the wrong way for the fun of it!(Loaded Magazine...Another good bargain shop (all less than half price eqip. nad wear right now) is right down one end of the strip a couple of shops up from a First Kitchen...you can't miss it with loads of -
Also I must admit Maori boys comment s so accurate its actually scary...thats a brilliant description....They used to have this ad where a bloke shows a pic. of his new Mrs to his old man...and starts crapping on about how her father drives a Merc, owns a forty foot yacht in Auckland harbour, has a bad cough etc etc...then finally he says.."She doesn't drink Speights though Dad"...to which his retorts "Its a hard road finding the perfect woman son!"....Obviously I enjoyed that ad until it was revealed that in real life this hard ass Southern Man was as bent as the Russian sickle...!Disappointi

Cher mate was just jesting really!...I'm the only kiwi in my ofice working with a load of your lot..well London wideboys (shandy drinking Southern fairys actually).....I get so much banter directed at me (i.e sheep and Colonial outpost based stuff)...its good to give a bit back..(even if it is over the SJ forums) Have been heard the streets up your way have been getting a bit of spraypainting in the last few days....?...its a big deal in the Sun today!????

Here you go Scouser...Heres some FAQ's I found about SPEIGHTS..Definitely an aquired taste and best served COLD unlike in Liverpool as I've heard.....Some people describe it as like making love on a boat...(i.e ****ing close to water) but I disagree wholeheartedly...Its a great brew..However the book (see below) will put you to sleep faster than counting sheep! Q. Where can I find Speight's outside New Zealand? A. Speight's is not currently commercially exported. However the popularity of the product has made it available through some wholesalers around the world. It has been located in

No...Are you?...they are not mogul skis -
This place rules..is quite near my office so I thought I'd head down there after work after reading a thread on this site..Theres def. some good deals going there if you are in the market...I'm gonna lift a pair of K2 stuntmen (2000model I think) for just 6000 yen (unmounted)..Whilst I was in the store some Japanese bloke (who looked like he'd be more at home in Akihabara) lifted a pair of straight hot pink tyrolias for the bargain basement price of 500 yen..they looked about 200cm long though....so I calculate (using a calculator of course)..that he paid 2.5 yen per cm of ski.....On the other

That sounds huge...Lucky everyone was OK by the sounds of it....Over a metre in three days...bring it on!...I'll be at the beautiful lady riding what I thought would be spring slush for two solid weeks from mid next month!...Sounds like I'm in for a triple treat of my own though..I remember heading up the road early one morning only to be stopped by the contractors who were doing maintenance on it..The bloke was like "just hold on a minute..where going to have to blow this rock"...the next second there was a boom like something out of a mad max film and there were rocks the size of small kids -
