Tubby thats an interesting question and Ive wondered the same - they seem to always start off with "so and so regular stance hidari ashi mae " etc etc Anywau its all good - the dead heat in the womens downhill was unbelievable ! -
These ultranationalists aer mainly throw aways from the yakuza as far as I can work out their views are just strongly aligned with the notion of the emperor as a demi god - interesting to hear that they gather at places like snow festivals as well

4WD vs. 2WD

Was in Hakuba recently with a 2wd without snow tires however the car has something cal;led snow mode which to be honest I`m not sure if is effective only with snow tires. The snow is so dry there in Jan and quite flat. It depends a fair bit on where you are planning on going I guess. -

Id have to agree with Muika - The views from Tenjindaira likje the one he posted and possibly even more so from the cafe are absolutely breathtaking on a fine day loke last saturday. It has to be my favourite in Japan rivalling the views from the base building at TC Lake Wanaka NZ -

hi teikiatsulover thks very much for your reply and kind offer. Yes I remember Dynaland it is on the right hand side about five mins drive below HKK carpark I think ?- It was actually the first place I leant/rode in real powder it was almost up to our waists that day there. Please PM me if possible or reply here with your contact deets - do you live in Kyoto ? Of course I'd be happy to pay in for gas/tolls etc if it turns out you decide to go - thks in adv
