Mapple is the only road map i have ever seen with topographic (or whatever those altitude lines are called) lines on. combined with excellent road signs and an easy to understand route number system in this country, driving is fun and easy even without navi girl by your side. i guess i would consider getting a navi system if the price was reasonable, but it is just a waste of money in my opinion.

Very tragic indeed, I don't want to sound insensitive but: What are people doing camping out on a mountain in a predicted snowstorm . something is not right with these people. i read somewhere that 70 people were camping out up there ??

It's the phallos shaped island south of kagoshima. even Shimane is very far from my new home, but i guess i can always dream......

Good morning Soub, Came back to jp 3 weeks ago. We're in Tanegashima now. so far away from the snow. It actually makes me mildly depressed. Regarding Nepal, I realized that you really need to be young AND irresponsible to enjoy the whole package over there. Mountains are still very nice, but Kathmandu and the bus rides is too tough for me now. i don't think i will return.

Ahh good about evening drive, you enjoy the music in the car more too. yeah got back day before yesterday after being hazzled in the immigration for a very long time sitting in a hotel in Gifu... so close and yet so far away from the snow

Hi Tsondadude, Very nice pictures of what looks like a nice day. i am craving snow very bad, and your pictures and text just made it worse. Please don`t kill yourself by driving early in the morning. Go in the evening, sleep in the car and get up well rested for first lift. believe me, i`ve tested all possible combinations of driving and boarding. Evening drive works very well (for me anyway)

You Jane, http://www.puremotion.com/ all the way. you don't need a degree to operate this one. does everything you want, cheap, stable, excellent support from Andy. nice forum on his site. you could also try Adobe Premiere, but it is BIG, expensive and has been very unstable in the past (haven't tried the latest versions) it is also very difficult to use.

time in the lift v. time on the gerende. A nice long gondora is a big plus for me.I just hate those slow and short fixed lifts. crowds are a turn off. mixed difficulty.
