My wife and i are getting so tired of japanese working hours and no holidays that we are planing to leave japan for europe, well we have other reasons too, but the lack of freedom is a major factor. we have a lot of places around the world we want to visit, but it is just not possible if we live here. ...need freedom ATB TP

interresting thing about these cases is that Columbia only has a screendump of your computer being online (ip adress and files you share) They dont know if you are actually sharing a fake!! and Stag, your case and all the other cases i have read about all over the world is ONLY about sharing, DL alone is not the problem, it is when you start distributing...

That is SCARY stuff! i don't want you to get extra scared, but sharing copyrighted material in japan is a criminal offence, they trow people in jail http://202.221.217.59/print/news/nn12-2004/nn20041201a9.htm

ahh, thanks! i will try not to talk to techhead talk. soundfiles can be recorded in a frequence range from less than 6000hz to 192khz and probably higher. A 44khz file is actually only 22khz pr channel if it's a stereo track. the resolution can be from 8 to 32 bit i think, an 8 bit track sounds something like an old Commodore 64 or a really old soundcard on a pc. 8 bit sound devices with frequence range less than 44khz (2x22) can play 16 bit, 44khz files allright, it just sounds bad. but Sunrise, you probably know a lot more about that than i do anyway. My question was if ipo -

wow, i just read 17 pages of ipod, i'm pretty tired now. I want a HD player for my car, and ipod seems like a good choice, but: am i stuck with itunes for transfering, or can ipod come up in windows explorer with a driveletter? how about file structure om ipod's hd, can you have albums organized in folders (like om my pc) ..and i probably misunderstood some of the earlier posts, but is playback not 16bit 44khz? and is VBR ok? (probably) thanks ipod freaks ATB TP -

kerosine is not very flammable, no danger of explosion. if it works, great, if not, just clean them with alcohol or water and dishwashing liquid. I'll bet you an icecream it will work though !

... sell the candles on yahoo auction

Hi Gamera, i just found this one on ebay, but it look kinda antique, problaly expensive. i'll bet the local homecenter have some cheap ones. ..alcohol make that blue flame, no good. Use kerosine! (petrolium) ATB TP

That is a lamp, good obersevation! unless you are afraid that it will be stolen, i think no one will be able to tell the difference between the light coming from a candle and a kerosine lamp when hidden inside an igloo. just an idea ATB TP

69, if it is immigration you are opposed to, then i think you have every right to feel that way. (the ill heard truth is just that Japan need A LOT of immigrants) Refugees however is a totally different issue. A "real" refugee needs protection from it's home country, most often the government e.g North Korea, Iran, Burma or any other opressive regime. Some of these people faces long prison terms or even death just for being in opposition to a regime. We do not have the right to "choose" if we want to spend money on these people. 69, just answer me honestly if you think it is ok
