  1. I went to 6 proms. That's 6 rented tuxedos. It's probably worse for the girls as I don't know if you can rent dresses or not. Prom is boring. it's the after prom parties that are fun. A good rave party is much more fun. Which cult YellowsSnow?
  2. Here's a little drunk people recipe that I hope you all like: smash a bag of Lay's sour cream & onion potato chips in your fist, throw in a can of tuna and a couple of eggs. Fry. Delicious! glass of water. you will go to bed a very happy drunk. I promise.
  3. I made the forever long drive up to Hakkoda yesterday. This years pretty sad...only 5 days out! Hakkoda once, Zao a record low 4 times.
  4. I wouldn't call you a snob...just a guy that's had a taste of the good life. I'm kind of stoked about moving into a place on Ala Moana about 5 minutes from point panic. Soon my snowboarding life will be pau but the surf will finally get good. Look me up at 909 Kapiolani. 10th floor...brobably the only haole in there.
  5. SirJibAlot, where in Hawaii did you grow up? I grew up on the Big Island(HILO). I surfed Honoli'i for decades. Et toi?
  6. way down this year. The Zao region just doesn't have any snow. I laugh at EboshiZao's claim of 140 cm. I boarded it last weekend on grass! It has snowed once in sendai.
  7. Without fail, my wife eats ramen. In my uni days I always went to IHOP (internatianal house of pancakes) and ordered eggs benedict at 3am.
  8. I grew up the son of a drummer. My dad played with Steve Miller among many others. He tried to teach me but sports faded out that endeavor. my Father's last trap set looks alot like yours Indo...black pearls. I'm now trying to become an ukulele player. It's a lot of fun!
  9. yes, in Uni my wife was into techno so when she told me "james brown is dead" that was exactly what I thought she was refering to.
  10. I've been stuck in Denver several times. I quit flying Delta in the winter b/c of it. Hope your friend get's here soon!
  11. Onsen massage chairs. It could just be me but I find them to be torture chairs.
  12. Four police officers driving around in a small car wearing helmets. 5 police officers standing around at a routine fender bender.
  13. Bob Marley has been dead for decades. I still listen to all of his music. Old REM is cool (Radio Free Europe era). Old U2 (sunday Bloody sunday era). The Smiths...all of their old stuff still trips me out.
  14. Check'd 'em out and some others through your link. Much mahalo's. Can't get enough of good music!
  15. Thanks sunrise! I'm happy you like the ukulele.
  16. Hey Indo! Actually, if my biz partner and I push this along we will have multiple people to buy from. One is a California company, 2-3 Hawaiian and our mutual friend's own manufactured ukes using 100% Hawaiian koa wood. Davo, thanks!
  17. i've been listening to Ron Carter. In fact,I went to see him at the Blue Note in NYC. He plays jazz with what DB or OCean would proabably refer to as a really big guitar (normal peeps call it a bass). I think he's the world's best bass player. Quite relaxing.
  18. You are wrong again Spuddy. Polynesia, Micronesia and to a lesser exstent Melanesia do have many similiarities. As a student I worked with Tongans, Samoans, Micronesians (and others of various Pacific islands)on a cruise ship and we shared many similiar cultures and interests. . You do have an expert in your midst (I appreciate you noticing). Konnichi wa I grew up in the the islands. Did you? Besides spending your time looking for ways to argue with me you might want to look into something more usefull to do with your time. Banking must be lonely. Thanks for the advice dizz
  19. Sorry, done with spud but I can't say wether or not it's polynesia, micornesia, or another ..neshia we but we share a simiiliar culture. I grew up with many people from guam, samoa, yap, palau, tahiti, truk, and a hand full of other island cultures.. We see eye to eye. Australian bankers are a bit one dimensional. Shoganai na!
  20. You just don't understand Hawaii, Guam, polynesia, my business or my audiance. what you don't know is I will be selling hawaiian made uke's to many Hawaiians. What you don't know but Hawaiians do is that products and the cost of doing business are cheaper in Guam than Hawaii. What you don't know is that the culture, language and history and nationality of Guam isn't much different than Hawaii. And what you don't know is I don't sell souvenirs. That'd be the $30 uke from Hilo Hatties. I sell to serious players. I'm finished with your stupidity. Also, give the fake priest thing a
  21. Ever heard of polynesia? Artifact? I don't know what your sense of history is but an ukulele isn't thousands of years old. But say it was, my prospective costumers (unless buying from me online) will have to be visiting. I can't figure out why you care that I'm going to be making a buck or two with little effort. Let me know why I should admire and thank you for what you've done for the world and I'll give you my props. Otherwise, shut up banker! You too sempai! BTW, I'm just trying to spread the Aloha. It's a Hawaiian concept that you wouldn't/can't understand so save yourself a
  22. An urge? I'm not going to lose my wife Ocean and I have never had "an urge" to sell little guitars. You must be as stupid as your kohai. I just want to start a business. Watch that cheese translater!
  23. But break it down to what it is. An ukulele is by definition an ukulele. How does Wikpedia feel about that you silly little tit of a man? Who's making who go funny? You do humour me though. Was that a bugle?
  24. So are you saying an ukulele isn't really an ukulele? The small guitar as you like to refer to it is called an ukulele in real life. Can't you realize your own stupidity? BTW, is that a trumpet or a bugle? Does Clapton play a "big guitar?" I think you are making your own words. That's cool, I think creativity is a possitive thing.
