Yes it hardly gets it's speed up. Just to confuse matters. There is no Joetsu station/stop on the Joetsu Shinkansen. And it doesn't even go through the Joetsu region. But there will be a Joetsu (Myoko) station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen. That'll confuse a few.

I think in these parts it's usually the second half of June through until mid to maybe late July.

Hi there I live in Sanjo. While I love the place of course, can't quite think why it would be singled out. Famous for cutlery! Yahiko temple is not too far away, which is very nice.
