  1. I know what you're saying theres TONS of them up here where I live. They seem to have no customers, the only ones they do have are family/friends/neighbourhood giri types.
  2. Only a parent can think a baby is cute.
  3. Some of the resorts I have noticed have taken some of the lifts out of use. They didnt even prepare them, closed at weekends too. Opposite of resort development.
  4. A few places round here have also taken the opportunity to increase the base prices a bit as well. On the other hand I saw a newspaper flyer thing this morning where a shop was saying that their final prices will in effect go down, and they will pay the 5%.
  5. Where I am theres a "Good Smoking Healthy Life" campaign, that always makes me laugh.
  6. My nearest starbucks is literally hundreds of km away. When I go to the city though I went in once or twice and just thought how expensive it seemed.
  7. My friend was told he got the sack. Like in The Office. He was very angry.
  8. I've got a couple more half days in me yet I think. Still snow up here.
  9. THis is a few years ago now, but the best notebook I ever has was an IBM ThinkPad. THey are expensive but it was a really nice machine. Anyone have one now?
  10. Not that much. I'd be willing to bet we got more up here in Hokks
  11. On the subject of that program - I really enjoy watching that when it's on. (Oh, apart from when a kid cries that they haven't got enough points to "pass", then a "kind" "talent" decides to give them a sympathy point - that shouldn't be allowed, it spoils it)
  12. 403,000? In Japan? Wow. Everyone'll be getting ideas now..
  13. Nice leg there. Britney doesn't do much for me at all. She does seem to have gotten rid of some of her belly, that was getting quite expansive there a while back. Perhaps its all the marrying and boozing and divorcing (x2) thats taken their toll.
  14. I've not had any problems with my Vaio either....
  15. My grandmother used to make Gypsy tart - it is very very very sweet. Tastes like a treacle toffee 'purin', if that makes any sense.
  16. That looks like it'd be more fun than another tiresome proper Star Wars flick.
  17. I actually like going into shops and buying stuff. I must be old-fashioned.
  18. Isn't it getting to be like 20 degrees and over down there?
