If we are talking about being realistic here, then FT has a point. We are being taught about how we can reduce global warming though means that won't severely effect our day to day lives. On the corner of two main roads that lead to Hirafu and Hanazono. As it is being renovated, no one is living there and with no hear going into the roof, the snow just builds up. Just to do the 1m wide strip around the edge took 5 hours.

Each to their own in regard to being annoyed that you have to wait for huge queues or are being shoved onto the lift but personally I get annoyed. Although everyone pays for their lift ticket, I think it is inconsiderate to intentionally only have one person in a Gondala when there are other people who have also paid for a lift ticket and then have to wait excessive amounts of time. I didn't ride today but after the snow clearing this morning outside my apartment in Kutchan, at 9.30am, there has been another 50+cm and there was a riduculous amount on the ground this morning.

During February mid terms in Meribel, 30mins in regular to get onto a Gondola. The smart people never come back to the base of the resort until the end of the day otherwise you just wait and wait. At least they have their stuff together in terms of outside modern ski and board holders, not like Higashi or Annupuri here. The reason the lift lines are so long is because no-one enforces the 4 in a gondola thing and people can't fit enough skis/boards in the holders to use them to capacity. Moiwa was quite nice this morning, 20cm of new snow and perfect conditions for the lines through the trees...short but sweet. Not many people there but more than usual being a Sunday. Skiers right is still closed off the hooded quad but a little traverse will get you a long way. How do people go about doing this in cities or towns? I have a flat roof and no land so to speak and due to my working hours, I don't clear when everyone else does. Local foreigners tell me that you can't clear onto the road or the footpath/sidewalk but I don't know if there is some etiquette I should be aware of. At the moment, I am clearing it at night and just turfing it from the roof onto the road so it is cleared in the morning but I am pretty sure I am doing the wrong thing I have seen people shovelling from their roofs onto their neighbours but I am just not going to do

Niseko has some serious snow falling at the moment. It wasn't really supposed to be like this but we will take it.. Reading something like that always makes me wonder, especially being in Niseko, what will happen when this happens around here. Who knows what really happened before the aussie's got there but they did a fantastic job. Who said it is never sunny around here??? I have never seen, or heard of as many sunny days in December for this area. This is like a seasons worth of awesome weather in the past 10 day, forgetting the rain.

it was puking in Niseko this morning...I'd say 5cm in 2 hours but it has stopped now. Looks like we may miss a lot of the snow that everyone else is getting. I haven't been out out on the board for 10 days now but with the snow last night and the snowfalls today, it felt fine under foot just walking around this morning.
