Believing in God requires faith. When bad things happen, faith is tested. Its on a pass/fail basis. If you believed in God before this natural disaster, and now you dont, maybe you didnt have any faith to begin with but only curiousity. If it was only curiousity, then you didnt ever really BELIEVE in God. And if you never really had any faith in the first place then what's the purpose of publicly denying God? There has been and always will be death, it's very sad, but it happens.

I happen to love Monty Python, in fact all of my male friends are quite fond of them too. For some reason it doesnt mix well with the american women, no offense to any american women but your senses of humor are worse than a german's. As far as slapstick and one-liners, american pre-teens and teenagers tend to like those as I did when I was their age. I have noticed that along with age comes a greater need for sarcasm, I LOVE sarcastic, satirical comedies. I think the biggest difference in our humor is because of our histories and localities. I dont understand much of british comedy

I dont know your faith, Ocean, but considered joining a monastery? I have every so often, either that or living up in the mountains, of course i have a family now and couldnt support them like that. Sure would be a peaceful life though.
