  1. SNOW JAPAN - UPDATES FOR THE 2003/4 SEASON Some new features and functionality have been added to Snow Japan today. (As these new features are fairly complex and have been added to a site that was already online, there is a chance that there are some "bugs" in the system - we will be working over the next few days to make sure it is all working without problem.) The main new features are: ============================================ SNOW JAPAN TRIP MAKER: Snow Japan Trip Maker has been developed in response to comments and requests from Snow Japan users over the last
  2. powwwers. You might have to change your settings. Click on My Profile and adjust the time settings - that should fix it...... Thanks
  3. Fine, and the time stamp when you are not logged in is correct. We have had some people mail in though saying that the times are going a bit mad - but changing the settings in the profile area should do the trick. Cheers
  4. If your time settings are off, you can change them in your "My Profile" area....
  5. The move is now complete! (At last!) The forums can now once more be accessed via our traditional address: http://www.skijapanguide.com/cgi-bin/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi The Private Messaging functionality has also be turned back on. Thanks for you patience! SnowJapan.Com
  6. Hi there... Right now, we're a bit consumed with moving the site over to our new home (as well as developing some other new functionality for the site), but we do plan to again look into the possibility of having chat on the site later on. (Actually, if anyone knows of any good chat rooms out there, please do let us know about them to take a look at - editor@snowjapan.com). Thanks!
  7. The SnowJapan Forums have moved home, and for the next few days, please use the following URL to access them: http://64.106.252.224/cgi-bin/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi After a few days, you will be able to use the normal URL for the Forums as usual, and we will update you once more when that is ok. While we complete the move to the new home, we have also disabled the Private Messaging functionality on the Forums - but don't worry, it will be back within a few days. The Forums should be working fine, but if you do find some problems at all, then please let us know ( editor@snow

  10. Welcome! At the moment the forums are set up so that there are no avatars displayed. The picture you have on your profile Butta-kusai is in the "Your Picture:" field.
  11. We hope to be bringing you info straight from the Niseko resort in a feature online soon....
  12. Oh, it will be a while yet. The (many!) questions are now with Arai, and the plan is if for that feature to be published after the next Setting Journals - but don't worry, we're sure that when it does go online it will be an interesting one! Thanks
  13. Yes, it's a 15 minute drive up from the town to Mitsumata ropeway. No snow there either. The snow at the top of Kagura is quite a distance further up than that.
  14. We're sure Dick will look forward to reading all your comments and might respond here in this thread, but believe that he is away travelling once more until the middle of June. So you'll probably here from him towards the end of June. Many thanks SnowJapan.Com
  15. Don't worry, that section will be updated, and checked once more as next season starts.
  16. No problem - we'll move it over now though.... (Sorry to hear about the car)
  17. NoFakie-san will be unavailable for a couple of weeks, so don't expect to hear from him sometime soon, but it seems like there has been snow again (unlike here in Yuzawa where it's been raining for most of the day)
  18. Hi powwwers You need to register again for the J forum (ie your username for this English one won't work on the Japanese version). You can use the same username if you wish when you register for the J forums (and if it is available, which yours is). If you register over there, you'll be able to quickly start using it.... Thanks
  19. We've just spoken to someone up there. It has been raining at town level in Yuzawa since lunchtime (and still is), but it appears that snow is actually falling up top at Kagura. Nothing major, of course.
