  1. This is one for the books - I'm with Ocean11 on this. On a side note the most enduring image I have of Mr George W Bush is that image of him sitting round a table of world leaders last year rocking back and forth like a child. Did you see that? That was a real eye opener.
  2. Read daily, post when I feel like it.
  3. Mr Miller is a legend. Ocean11, I'll try your resort, sounds like it might be a bit bigger than that Wadatoge place.
  4. Watched Amadeus the other day - great movie.
  5. You will find some people just want to moan at the first available chance, for some reason....
  6. Any chances of another talk in depth with patrol at the resort, Blair?
  7. I'm on family duty today, so no ski for me. but
  8. I like Shizukuishi and Appi for a change to the normal Niigat/Nagano diet. Needs a few days to get out there though.
  9. Quote: especially if your name is SKI and you're a stickler for the rules Now that was uncalled for, don't you think.

  11. ....Perhaps driven by people who have reckless disregard to the peace and safety of others, doing what they want just because they want to do it that way. They shouldn't do that. Sounds familiar.
  12. Those things are fun, a friend of mine in Fukushima has one and zooms all over the covered rice fields in winter.
  13. Quote: but if you put up a fence and you have no idea why you did it is it breaking the rule And why is that may I ask? (And whose rules are you breaking?)
  14. Quote: I was punished at primary school for not drinking the revolting warm milk provided by the State for my benefit, and it's given me a big problem with authority ever since That, and you being in the army (is that what you said?), explains a lot.
  15. Or to put it another way If you believe that rules set out by a resort should be followed, vote for "the sign says no ducking" Conversely, if you believe that you have some right to ignore rules (depending on how you decide they should be interpreted, and depending on your personal wishes), vote for "rools schmools". Not intending to bias results Interestingly, 20 vs 8 votes so far in favor of "the sign says no ducking".
  16. Ocean11, for once I think we completely agree...
  17. Great! And Ocean11, for the benefit of all the readers who are not Ocean11, what exactly do you mean by that?
