  1. smoking is banned for a reason im for one glad that i dont have to soak in the smoke in canada anymore.
  2. vertical depends on where you are I can lap 5000 vertical meters of BC in Hakuba in one day easy.
  3. Just inside the resort Relaxed patrol. Nozawa Onsen Tenjin daira Happone Myoko Touring Hakubas resorts offer the countries sickest BC access. Tejin provides good BC but a bit harder exits Myoko limited BC but still nice and uncrowded Kurodake in Hokkaido has potential but it closes mid dec to march (or there abouts)
  4. 500 vertical meters is quite a skin up through snow. id say that you would skin 1.5km to 2kms before the top. 6 laps would be pretty much hard to achive
  5. As this credit crunch gets worse, and the insurers of those loans call people to pay them back, things like this will happen again.
  6. hope no one bought into those apartments! the zepher group tanked it and is selling out.
  7. No one said that it didnt happen before but you write it like it happens 100% of the time. The you say it is the best in the world yet how many night sking resorts have you been to? Try the east of Canada and see some of the crazy stuff they open at night.
  8. spicys is the go you rent from them and they pick up your gear when you are done. 500 miles is also good at mominoki hotel and goryu
  9. Im not taking a shot at Niseko Im taking a shot at someone who always floats out crap. Best in the world nighta you can make 1000 dollars a night for 200 days if you invest in an apartment There are no places that have good accommodation. The list goes on. Its a revolving door of endless quotes and yet he has nothing to compare it to. If i was taking a shot I wouldve said alot more.
  10. No you didnt read GN. Good old thursday used his wisdom and knowledge of Japanese ski resort to claim that only Niseko would be installing lifts for the next century. Thursday then brought his BS to 3 or 4 different threads. I showed thursday that other resorts in Japan had ordered and installed lifts. So you didnt read yet you are commenting. so go on read some more for me. my hypocrisy give me a break dude, he didnt get snow yet he is saying that it will be a powder laden heaven at the nighta.
  11. Thats what its about GN, yes you know best. My comments to Thursday was, he has been no where else, so he couldnt even know a difference about anything. You really took the time to read up on this one. Thx for the repeat comment as usual.
  12. I tunes is crap. apple the new microsoft of pumpinmg out products that are half finished. Guess what people still buy them.
  13. BS How mush snow fell on your last trip again? you sound like a someone in a marketing department. How many night skiing places have you been to? Quote: Huge flakes falling silently on the already fallen foot of powder since you went for dinner. Nobody on the slopes, just you and the golden lit snow. And you wonder if you have died, 'cos you know you're in heaven
  14. The lifts have to make money and Tokyu sure isnt making anything. It takes time to get a lift in place.
  15. As it is a blog i think she might be given some slack via the editors. As it is an Aussie site some off piste near auz should rank up there. It is a bit of an advertorial.
  16. http://www.seilbahntechnik.net/nl/lifts/...06e10330e3711e8 Vested interest mate thats all you ever say, so please keep repeating it. I didnt say where anyone was investing. I was simply stating that your limited knowledge should be taken with a grain of salt. There above you have links to lifts above and that is just one lift company. Quite frankly I bet you wouldnt even know off the top of your head any others.
  17. I am no master, but I have been to more resorts than just one. You spout out about your one resort being the only place that will invest in the next century. You know very little about the industry outside of your isolated experience. Your only advice sounds like a travel company pumping someone to one location, with very little knowledge of what is out there, or the industry as a whole in Japan. Do some bloody research before you post.
  18. Come on Mike the off piste in Niseko doesnt even hold a candle to the stuff here. Thus Hakuba made it into the top ten of off piste, it rightfully should.
  19. Thursday you know very little outside of your world of Niseko. Go to Gifu and look at how much money they make and the lifts that they have put in. This century! give me a break!
  20. It is quite sad that so much foreign aid has been pumped into the country compared to other countries. Most of that aid going to fund weapons. http://www.washington-report.org/html/us_aid_to_israel.htm
  21. Israel got their land back by employing terrorist tactics that were supported by the west. The west wasted a lot of money propping up Israel and to this day still does.
  22. The wind jacket is not a place it is a travel company that owns a place.
  23. grill it int the kids that they need new crap every year to go fast! I really hope that there is a freeride team by the time hannah starts to ski. Racing is dieing anywhere outside of europe.
