  3. Hello snow-japan. I was hoping the forum may help me out. I am planning to come to Japan in the winter in to celebrate college graduation with some friends to SKI. We live in Crested Butte, Colorado right now and have been skiing their double black/extreme terrain for 5 years. Originally from icy, icy New Hampshire/Maine. If I was able to rent a car, what areas would I want to go to for 50+ degree pitches, good billy goat lines, cliffs, tight trees- the works? Could you tell me where I would want to go in-bounds, as well as out-of-bounds? We are avy-savvy individuals with
  4. I will be graduating college this coming December and I have some money saved up that I would like to use being a ski-bum in Japan for a time between January - April. Is it feasable to rent a room for a month or two in a ski town in Japan? How much would that cost? I'm trying to avoid staying in hotels every night for a month or two. Where would be the best area to go? I'm looking for STEEPS, cliffs, and trees. Hokkaido? Northern Alps? Central? I'm coming from Crested Butte, CO. I want to be at the steepest most difficult resort- preferably with a relaxed OOB and patrol, and
  5. Hello everyone, I want to know which Japanese ski resort has the steepest terrain, with special consideration given to a relaxed off-piste policy. I want to know where I should go in Japan to ski if I am looking for lots of tree runs, deep powder, steeps, and CLIFFS! Thanks!
