Naeba seems to have been gradually cutting down on services for quite a few years now. Doesn't leave a good impression, though it's an inevitable downward spiral I suppose.

Got to wonder why a room of schoolkids and were shown cowering under a table on instruction of their teachers on the tv yesterday.

On my new computer there are 4 stickets (Vista / intel / 1080 hd) and I want to take them off. But I don't want to start taking them off and making them a mess if they don't come off easy. Stupid question but do these things come off without a mark? Thanks

New computer came - battery seems to last longer --- and they gave me a leather carrying case as well (over 10000 yen in shops)

I don't expect much more than that. The problem with this one, skier1, was that the battery was running down really quickly even when I wasn't using the thing. New one should be with me tomorrow.

Well, after them coming round and spending 3 hours changing the motherboard --- and it still not apparently working --- Sony have ordered me a totally new computer to replace this one. I've been extremely pleased with the support (even if of course it has been a pain with the computer).

Bad news - new battery does the same. So, getting support round again to check and maybe change something else. If they need to take it all apart I'm going to ask them for a new one. Been very helpful so far though.

You obviously put a lot of effort into all this. Thanks for sharing, your photos are always excellent keep them coming!
