Buying NEW and EXPENSIVE things and finding they don't work is really annoying. Like a stereo player I bought. Took a week to get a replacement as well.

Was that a Microsoft report? Sounds highly unlikely.

Doing a web search and clicking on one of the top links only to find out that it deserving to be a top listing is a huge stretch of the imagination. I hate it when websites put almost outright lies in the pages titles or whatever just to try and gain search engine listing results. I boycott and websites that do that.

Quote: so do believe you are an equal in this country? I sure don't think Japan and the authorities are "out to get me". You carry on being paranoid, complaining & being miserable - I'll continue enjoying my time here... that sounds fine to me! -

Or maybe your friends looked / behaved very dodgy. I don't believe all the anti-gaijin paranoia that appears from time to time. I sure haven't experienced anything like that. -

Note this > So tell me, why do you think they were stopped 3 times in a weekend? Can you have a guess? There's got to be a reason. -

Well I have never experienced anything even remotely like that - the opposite in fact. Some of you guys are either living in a place that is so totally different to where I am or you friends look/behave very dodgy. -
Funny. Sony seem to be doing everything wrong right now - almost seems like self-destruct mode!

It's on here actually, Mystery channel I think. It doesn't compare well with current tv standards. Very slow, not very interesting and not very "unexpected"

Does anyone else here work with people who drink at work? There's a boss where we are and he has the whisky in his office and is often taking a sip - and sometimes coming into to work seemingly tanked up. I don't think he does any actual work.

Have you seen this, SP fans? South Park has exacted revenge on its former star Isaac Hayes by turning his character Chef into a paedophile and seemingly killing him off. The opening episode of the 10th series, screened in the US on Wednesday, appeared to be a satire on Scientology. Hayes, a Scientologist, quit the animated comedy after a different episode ridiculed the religion. In the new show, Chef is brainwashed by the "Super Adventure Club" - thought to be a veiled reference to Scientology. The other characters are angry at "that fruity little club for scrambling

Sanno you been there? Looks awesome. -
I got a list with a complete breakdown. The company I got it done at was it seems getting 15800 yen out of the basic 110,000 or so - the rest was taxes and the like. They did try and get me to get another 80000 or so done, er, sorry, fixed.

I've been to both and feel they are difficult to compare. Kagura is easier to get to, but I prefer Happo overall. -
Final Sweep

Surely they do the course, but not outside. After all, people are told not to go there. -
Whats with all the crimes against kids at the moment?
peterson replied to brit-gob's topic in General off-topic discussions
Back to the grim subject, how about this one: A man who raped his unconscious teenage stepdaughter as she lay dying from a head injury has been jailed for nine years at the High Court in Glasgow. Sentencing Judge Lord Philip told George McKee, 50, he had committed an "appalling crime" which filled members of the public with "horror". McKee admitted raping Kerry Muchan, 14, in her Paisley home on 23 July, 2005 while she was unconscious. Kerry died soon after the rape from a head injury caused by a fall. Lord Philip said: "Any sentence I impose has to reflect the revuls -
