Blair, still there? What happens at the other resorts that don't cover people? I've never heard about this before. Is it written somewhere at the resorts?

Agreed, it's not hard. A bit dangerous at first if you're not good and on a crowded slope, but easy to get the hang of.

(A good) Guinness is an acquired taste, but a great one at that. Don't waste your time comparing it with the weak Japanese black beers - they are truly awful generally.

I will be trying out the Japanese snow for the first time this coming winter. I'm a decent skier and can do the business on the single board too. Just want to ask all the regulars here, if you could choose your "introduction to Japan" first ski resort one more time - best for experience, snow, and everything - where would you recommend?
