  1. some thirty-two boots come with a inner lining that they put in a convection oven, and then u put your foot in it and it molds to your foot. ive heard great things about the level of comfort. i bought these boots but they didnt have the oven where i went, but they are still damn comfortable. the inner lining is pretty comfortable to start with. plus they are anti-bacteria so wont smell. i was lucky. i got the boots in a size 28 for 12900 yen.
  2. hot weetbix with honey is rather tasty. i normally just go with toast though.
  3. i find that sony mds arent very reliable. my sony md broke, my brothers sony md broke, and my friends sony md doesnt record anymore. plus they dent really easily. i would reccommend aiwa, as a good reliable brand.
  4. different boots are different sizes, even though they might both be a size 10 or whatever. u can have a small size 10, and a large size 10. some boots fit better than others: width etc. boots are such a vital component so it would be silly to buy boots off the net that youve never tryed on.
  5. if i go early season, and during the week will it be hard getting a reservation?

  7. tee bars are pretty awful on a snowboard. quads are nice, probably my favorite.
  8. from experience where is the cheapest place you've gone to buy outerwear in jimbotcho. is the stuff expensive in general? or is previous season stuff on sale/cheaper? btw has anyone visited cheapsnowboards.com ? they have some really cheap gear.
  9. the only goggles i have are with clear lenses, thus for night skiing or in low light conditions. so i usually go with my arnettes sunnies during the day. however, i will get around to buying some goggles before the season starts.
  10. does anyone know why some of the laces on snowboarding boots are so damn long? i just bought a pair of ThirtyTwo boots and they have practically a meter of extra laces hanging off them after they're done up. ive used other boots that never had such long laces.
  11. when i was in switzerland they played music on the ski-lifts and it was pretty decent. in contrast in japan, some of the music, especially around christmas time is just damn right annoying.
  12. 100,000 can get u a fair bit of stuff. depends what u want really, and where you want to aim your money whether it be boots, bindings, board. With 100,000 yen u wont be able to get 02/03 stuff, well not for everything anyways. i guess you should just think about where u want to channel your money (obviously boots are key) i bought a k2 dark star board (01/02 mind you), ride bindings and a pair of ThirtyTwo Tariff boots today. i spent around 60,000. the boots are really comfortable (they have a size 28!) and i got them for 12,900 yen. they are so comfy i keep sporadically putting them on

  17. ive been snowboarding for about three years and this season i want to get my own board - i will be boarding in early december and hope to go to canada during my gap year in 2003. basically i want a board that is pretty compatible with most runs. a few questions: 1) where in tokyo am i best off to go to get a board, bindings, and boots? 2) how much (in yen) should i expect to pay for [last season] boots, board, and bindings? thanks in advance.
