  1. Maybe 3-4 years ago Farquah was kind enough to send me pictures of the event at Taiji. Theyre shocking Taiji used to be a huge whaling port as well until the govt intervened - if the govt provides a means for the fishermen to get income, then the dolphin slaughter could be stopped. But what about the other 5000-7000 that are killed up in Tohoku?

  4. mate, you made a similar comment on my facebook page and I dont think dolphins are any different from cows. Its how they go about killing them that is atrocious. If they killed them with a single blow itd be one thing, but they dont, the animals bleed to death. How anybody could go about slashing at ANY animal and letting them die by bleeding to death is beyond me. I find that appalling. Id be just as grossed out if it were cows or pigs. The irony is, the Japanese started to hide the fact AFTER protest from organizations around the world. If it isnt such a big deal why cover it up and li
  5. Shinsaibashi/Namba areas are your best bet for bars/clubs/late night partying. Tons of good restaurants, too. If you want dodgy just put your nampa skills to work in those areas and save yourself the bs hassle of pinkhouses.
  6. Rhythm and Beats is good...great selection of skis there for sure They also have a branch up at Furano, too.

From my mates who live in Asahikawa they said that was crap snow compared to what it is typically like, so I can only imagine how much better it could be. 'Course the snow at Rusut

  9. Atsushi and Ryo are nutters - I enjoyed it too when they were doing those shows...what was that, the triangle? some funny moments
  10. Niseko as a mountain doesnt offer much in the way of terrain - not even the back bowls. Rusutsu neither though the cliff band there seemed to have lots of options. Further north there is much better "terrain" and vert. Close to Niseko Yotei and Shiribetsu are probably your two best options. MikePow says Kiroro is sweet but I think he tilts his camera when he shoots
  11. snow must be shite up there if the Niseko crew is getting at each other

Racey or Tomamu but would like to check those out. Thursday, any of the above. Plus I would love to spend more time at Tokachidake but I think it would have to be Spring bc the time we spent up there it was virtually closed out daily by weather.
  13. nice asb. Id like to see Furano with a better base than what we had, and some better snow as well. Have you taken any pics?
  14. And major props to canada in hockey!! Didnt watch the game, but it seemed like it was incredible! Cool. Hopefully will find a copy of it somewhere

  16. Interesting because while you dont remember who comes in 2nd or 3rd there are many individual/team sports where the teams win based on overall points like Bobby12 mentioned such as swimming and track. random rant, is this tsunami news going just a bit overboard?
  17. Having a chat with Chriselle this morning about the upcoming Canada vs US hockey game and it was mentioned that more golds is better than the total amount of medals. I think the number of golds is important, but I think the total balance of medals is most important. What if Country A had 10 gold medals, but nothing else; and Country B had 5 gold, 5 silver, and 5 bronze. To me country B seems stronger. Now, what if Country C had 20 bronzes? Is there a better country? Out of those 3 Id go with Country B. What do you think? And for what its worth, Canada is going to get spanked in
