I had a walk round some sports shops last night. Oh, oh so tempting, and too much choice anyone got any spare cash.

Depends on the weather. Of course. But I fancy trying out Tenjindaira or maybe even, shock/horror, Marunuma.

Most annoying junk mail? All of it.

If you're going to be taking the sport up, go out and get good gear - from the board, to bindings, to boots. It'll be worth it. Shouldn't skimp

Choose well and I think you're in for an amazing time. You can be on the slopes in less than 2 hours from Tokyo, with a bit more time needed if you want to check out Nagano. From what I've heard, crowds are so much less of a problem than they used to be in Japan. Can you get out in the mid week? If so, you're in for a treat. Over to some of the veterans out there >
