  1. sweet! i guess it will only be homemade bbc shows available though.
  2. RobBright's watch has three ticket tape functions, one for each axis.
  3. I think Himeji-jo is under renovation for a year or so at the moment. Personally I don't understand the rail pass thing. If you come to Japan for a week or two then just stay local in Tokyo or do Tokyo + Kyoto. As a tourist there is enough in those two spots (think day trips to Nara/Himeji etc) without spending days on trains just to see kyushu / hiroshima etc.
  4. The 2nd one is better, but neither are to my tastes. the combo i usually go for in most decisions is: simple + only core functions + durability/quality + value for money (ie. no brands). those above are probably lacking in the 1st 2.
  5. it seems kindle has similar issues with not being able to download anything if you are in the wrong country.
  6. Just read Tonoharu last night, its like a manga by an American guy, about the boring isolated life of a JET participant. But the artwork is amazing, much better than a manga and more like ukiyo-e. Strongly recommended! tonoharu
  7. rooneys one came off his shin didnt it? or maybe it was just my dodgy torrent...
  8. been watching the wire too much, picked up the lingo.
  9. klingon, i think it is more abuot the audience than the device. ebooks do no make sense on a tablet, as there is too much interactive noise on a tablet to pull you away from an ebook. this is why you do not see ebooks being shown on tv or to buy on dvd to watch on tv. the audience for ereaders are book readers who want a device dedicated to that. that audience will demand the long battery life, readability etc that tablets do not offer.
  10. I found with LBP that it is better to redo the level a few times after completing it to find all the secrets and get all the prizes. It reduces the chaos feeling.
  11. come on man, we have been starved for more than a year now!
  12. What a turnaround. I didnt see it coming at all (though it is still very much early days and not that we want to jinx it or anything...) But... KING KENNY!
  13. Nice result for us last night - COME ON SEASON TURNAROUND!
  14. superbowl is also on tomorrow am, would have been good to take a day off 2moro and just have a tv/sleep fest.
  15. More sensible to bring him on as a sub, less pressure. Secretly I wouldn't mind if Skertel or greek-dude nobbles him for the season. I seem to remember from his liverpool debut that he has a record of scoring on his debut.
  16. Time will tell, lets see his value this time next year.
  17. Torres: good business. We made a big profit and got some good years and service from him. He is too big for us in our current predicament, so fair play to him for wanting to go get some glory while he can. Getting 2 quality strikers instead was a good move. Carroll: seems overpriced, but I believe he is only 21. If he is going to go on to be Englands #1 it will be good business, however there is always the risk of him being a 1/2 season wonder.
  18. One story said Torres for 40M + Anelka, that would value Anelka at 10M which is overpriced for a 31/32 year old who we already (foolishly) rejected on a free(?) transfer 5 years or so ago.
  19. Grim news, but I guess you cant blame him after the past 2/3 years, he is not a local lad and he should really be playing for a team that is in the big games. It would be a massive loss if he leaves, and I guess now the chance of that is extremely high (LFC need the cash + he wants go = just a matter of time).
  20. I see it also has touch screen and motion sensors, I dont dig that or want to pay for that.
  21. They have abandoned the pop-up screen thing on the PSP-GO then. But they have kept the 'download only' thing of psp-go which riled many (personally I love it) Looks great, 5 inch screen at a decent res. The best thing about it is the UNCHARTED icon in the top right, I will buy one just to play that game on handheld.
  22. Will be interesting to see what Andy Gray does next, can't imagine he is good at anything else.
