Ignoring mr grumpy's comments (as I'm sure is the increasingly common thing to do)... after the snow of a few weeks ago there hasn't been much to shout about and we're all hoping to see that great big huge dump to appear and everywhere to open up magically. Just as long as those early-snow-warm-winter people aren't right

A Japanese mate of mine went up there on Sunday. Said it was surprisingly good for the time of the year and most of the place was open with enough snow - something they've been struggling with the last few years even at the end of November.

At lots of places it doesn't get going until after the resort opens in the season, and some places are only weekends and stuff like that - case by case I think

Nope. I disagree with O11, Jpop seems to be everywhere. I don't know how many resorts he has been to but I can't think of anywhere that I've been to that doesn't either blast that out or '80s rock or Wham. It does get annoying.

Are you trying to convert your non- snowsliding friends to take it up this year? Like I just posted in another thread, I've just got a few J friends to agree to hit the slopes for the first time (or first time in 5 years for one of them).
