  1. I see that some action actually has been taken re: the 'JAPANESE ONLY' banners at the Urawa Reds footie game, which is good to see. Making the main Japanese news as well. The banner creator doesn't seem to repentant though!
  2. People seem to have quietly accepted that there's no concept of pay rise here in recent times. I reckon it was grudgingly accepted because prices weren't rising. Maybe people will get more angry when they are being squeezed more and more though, as they are now.
  3. Rarely actually, Tubby. But when I do, Nurofen have always been quick to act and clear it up. I like to have them in stock and ready to go.
  4. Nurofen is brilliant on headaches. Very effective. I always buy a bunch of packets when I am back in the UK to bring back.
  5. Surely a day you'll remember for a long, long time. Would you go as far as describing Mt Granview as 'bottomless'?
  6. But we still need to take off our belts and shoes for some reason. And take the PC out of it's bag. And forfeit any drinks.
  7. This missing flight is pretty shocking isn't it. I just read somewhere that 'Experts believe that because no distress call was made, whatever happened must have happened very quickly'. Now I'm not usually one to question experts, but....!
  8. I just realised though. Yappa, Mt Granview too much for you Mick?
  9. -- 5 days per year. But must not take them. -- Must go to work if ill, unless hospitalised. -- If hospitalised, must gambaru from hospital.
  10. I was once delayed on a train in England. Reason? Cow on the tracks.
  11. It really sucks paying at all when you are delayed or the expressway is well slow.
  12. A mother has been voted Glasgow's 87th most popular tourist attraction after being accidentally registered on TripAdvisor. Mary Johnston, 60, from Bellahouston, in the south side of Glasgow, was given four five star ratings on the popular review website. A smiling photo of Ms Johnston accompanied her ranking which saw her sandwiched between 88th placed gig venue - The Hydro - where Beyonce recently performed - and 86th Ruchill Park, which is said to offer 'the best view in Glasgow'. Trip Advisor’s automatically generated text asks users on the website: 'Been to Mary Johnston? Share your ex
  13. I wonder if they are not used to people just accepting or not without any haggling going on.
  14. I bet most people round where I live wouldn't recognise their neighbours in a line-up!
