  6. deebee Yuzawa, or Echigo Yuzawa to give it the full name, is a town. Yuzawa has about 19 resorts, including Naeba, Kagura, Iwappara, and GALA Yuzawa. GALA Yuzawa is a resort in Yuzawa town, owned by JR (hence the Shinkansen).
  7. We're currently trying to put together a Snow Japan Party alcoholic night out in Tokyo, probably around the 6th December. Just as an initial taster - anyone out there interested???
  8. There will be one, probably around 6th December in Tokyo, probably Roppongi. We're into details right now and will post info as soon as we can. Hope people will come!
  9. This is not being pessimistic or whatever, just fact. I spoke with ARAI resort today. See the new ARAI Now page for info on their snow conditions right now... http://www.snowjapan.com/e/daily/shownow.php?town=ARAI%20Now%21 ....but they said that they will NOT be opening earlier than planned (or not by much) even if there is lots of snow. Their planned opening is December 14th. Other resorts we have spoken to over the last few days have said similar things. One of them being this little place not many people know about called Niseko Hirafa or something like that. (I

  17. http://www.snowjapan.com/e/daily/shownow.php?town=Hakuba%20Now%21 Many thanks to Stew
  18. We hope you do stick around - when the resorts open and the weather reports kick in.... Enjoy the site
  19. A width of up to 245 pixels (L>R) should see your photos shown "as is". Top to bottom isnt so much a problem but try to keep them under 300 pixels. Thanks
  20. We're glad to see that we already have over 20 member pages online and more coming in. We hope more and more will be added and this will become a popular area to post and share ideas as the season starts. UPLOADING PHOTOS If you upload a large photo, it will be scaled down automatically on your member page, but may suffer in quality as a result of that process. If you want to have your photos keep their quality, keep them to about the sizes that they display on the member pages, and they will be displayed "as they are". Hope that makes sense. Thanks again!
  21. Good to see people making pages already! You can link to member pages no problem. People who are logged into the Insider section will be able to go directly to the page, if you are not logged in you will have to login first. Thanks.
  22. Many thanks for the comments and all the email messages we're getting....we're getting a bit overloaded with mails this morning - but do please keep them coming. We're glad that most people seem to like the new site. There are so many new features and things to do added to the site now, and we hope that everyone will join in the fun and use the functionality - check it all out. Remember that we will be adding content, course maps (as many as we can..) etc over the coming weeks as the season approaches. Keep the comments coming. Snow Japan
  23. The J site will have a Forum, separate to this one, but with convenient links from one to the other for people who want to crossover....
