I recently finished up on Facebook, the whole thing just started to creep me out too much and I decided to try and live more in the real world. I know of a few people who have recently done the same.

I have often gone to the movies alone, even if I feel a bit Jerro-no-mates at the time. -

I like swimming myself, pretty good at it too. Or I was anyway, more for a relaxing bit of exercise now. -
Looks good. You must be nearly all set now with all that new gear. Minus the long tele of course! Still wondering what to do myself.

All very interesting and I can't understand about the D4 as well. Interested in hearing about the 18-300mm for DX and how that performs.

My first time skiing!
Jerro posted a topic in Snow talk, trip reports, Japan avalanche & backcountry
I went skiing for the first time on Sunday - at last! My friends took me up to Mitsumata in Yuzawa, Niigata and I did my best impression of a new-born giraffe standing for the first time. Stopped the lift more than once after crashing out. I think I did pretty well though in the end and really enjoyed it, can't wait to go again. It was beautiful up there and warm too. -
Yes I have the wide and also the 18-200mm which is the one I use mostly. Love the idea of the fisheye but it's a lot of cash just for that, for me anyway.

Skier or snowboarder THE POLL

Looks like it is tomorrow now today. -
Keen on photography myself, the D800 looks awesome. I have a D200 along with 3 DX lenses, looking to buy a new camera. Was thinking of what would follow the D300s - D400? - but there isn't much news on that, like you said at the beginning of this. I don't think I can stretch my budget to an 800 + the lenses I would need to really make the most of it. Do you use a dry cabinet for your gear muikabochi?
