  1. I am still blown away by your boards, looks like it rides like a dream.
  2. You weren't kidding about living on the edge! Awesome videos, very very jealous right now.
  3. I was wondering the exact same thing! Hi guys I still have to get onto the Hovercraft report I think the Fish is a better powder board and is alot better in tighter areas and the Hovercraft is a better all mountain board you have fun riding either I will go into more detail once I have time Cheers seemore
  4. If someone is scared enough to stay away because of this news then they most likely shouldn't be out there in the first place. We'll have to agree to disagree on that point. I'm with BM on this. If someone reads this and is so freaked they don't want to go out the gates, then they were not prepared for it. They will not be sufficiently educated to minimize risk to themselves nor to others out there. You want someone dropping above you unaware that they could set off a slide that would take you out? Plenty of inbounds fun to be had for the ill prepared and low risk skier GN. You
  5. Nice seemore sounds like you had a great time (apart from the flights)
  6. "The secret of this delicious blend," enthuses the Indonesia Tourism Promotion Board, "lies in the bean selection, which is performed by a luwak, a species of civet cat endemic to Java. The luwak will eat only the choicest, most perfectly matured beans which it then excretes, partially digested, a few hours later. Plantation workers then retrieve the beans from the ground, ready for immediate roasting."
  7. I think wvs is talking about civet cat coffee - the civet cat eats the coffee berries, and craps out the beans, then they are roasted and brewed. I am not sure how wvs got onto that subject though.
  8. Thanks for the info guys So if these cracks are hard to detect, how do you avoid falling into one? If the only information that is available in the avalanche report is that cracks exist, watch out for them, then many people would read that as "I will be able to see the crack before I get to it, and I will be able to stop and go around it", but this isn't the case? As Gozaimaas has mentioned, what type of equipment is required to perform a rescue (assuming that waiting for ski patrol or other rescue services is not an option)?
  9. Can someone explain to me how glide cracks form, whether they are more likely to form on a particular type of slope, or slope orientation? Gnarly-dude, surely any information which might help someone avoid the same mistakes would be helpful? I do agree that those people should not have left the resort area when the gates are closed, but I am pretty sure that those cracks wouldn't have dissapeared overnight, and the gates are open today.
  10. Nice video Tomamu's off-piste policy does seem like a pretty good balance, certainly better than a blanket ban or simply turning a blind eye.
  11. Looks like you are having a great time. The boards look even better in action
