  1. Actually they have come off the peak or maybe traversed from gate 4 (gate 5 won't get you there) to do Jackson's. There is a cornice you have to negotiate and once you get a little ways down near the bottom you hit a track, depending where you pop out you may walk or pole that and then traverse out. No skins required, go with someone who knows, though not a real hard excursion. No brainier on two planks but on one it is a bit of a nightmare traverse out... Take poles one plankers!
  2. As Jinx et al observe this years Jones Flagship... photo is from Santacruz here hosted on SJ, I think he just wanted to be just like me maybe (I have last years offering). Value for money there are NONE better! Arguable they are top of the range regardless of cost as well I would say

  4. I am in Niseko with 1 other 27th Jan leave 8th Feb. Will have a car 1-7feb to hit some other spots... Kiroro, Rusutsu etc Cheers, Tex
  5. Nope, no traverse. I have only been over the back from Mt Annupuri to Goshiki (one way got a ride from the Onsen), not sure if peeps ride over from Moiwa much, it is a bloody quick ride even from Annupuri Peak.... a bit too shallow from Moiwa I reckon... at a guess maybe 1 hours at least skinning it back depending on snow ... boot pack you would be post holing and never make it, need shoes at least.

  7. Yeh same thing happened when I got my Flagship... kept knocking them back further and further. The they eventually 'customs' held them up entering the US, then Customs hold it up coming into Australia because it is 'wood'.
  8. Long way to go yet if you are travelling in winter and not committed to paying now.
  9. Repatriation of funds JA, or maybe going to gold, more carry trade shenanigans and suspected lowering of our interest rates. 'Safer harbours' for the wary I suspect.

Damn you Santa Cruz !!!!

  15. I believe they just use the moon as a guide for a constant direction. Having an artificial moon messes with their minuscule brains like insect heroin or something
