Sounds good at first but it's not going to happen. IOC has specific guidelines in place saying that only one city can hold the Olpympics. Can't be shared. Bid ends right there. Logistical problems because of the distance between the two places and lack of accommodation don't help either. Now if Japan could actually get some public support behind their bids then they would have a better chance. Also, why does everyone want to turn the Olympics into a political statment???

Best nighta in Niseko - was an anful windy day with the top lifts all closed off but the snow was coming down like nothing else. Slowed up enough to open the top lifts at around 5 or 6 o'clock. And there was about 20 people riding the triple all night long in untouched powder heaven.

beginners? maybe lessons, gentle slopes, unpacked resorts, and gondolas would be a good start. Also a place that's not too cold. If you are a beginner boarding you'll spend a lot of time on your butt getting cold.
