Due to some injuries I sustained last year and the resulting bad diet that I incurred because of inactivity I found out since I last posted that my cholesterol is in the VERY bad territory and that I'm roughly 10kg's over weight (hence my blood pressure was too high). So together with my training I've also hit a new diet which has resulted in 7kg's lost over the last 4 weeks. Added to this I'm lifting more at the gym (upper and lower body) so I'm in good shape - and footy training starts tonight! Now I just need to avoid hurting myself again lol.

To be honest I went and checked my Macbook before and it has a 3 pin plug as well. Then again I can buy a US adapter from the apple site for cheap... I can't see why the battery wouldn't last long? I'm probably missing something. I think for your basics the 2 pin might be alright. But I guess I will find out myself in a few weeks.

ok...mobile phone and laptop chargers are all 2 pin. If they are not then it's the exception to the norm. The Dick Smith adapter is clearly legal to sell because if it wasn't I doubt they'd be selling it lol. I'm not sure Dick Smith Exist in Perth come to think of it... Like I said in my reply above unless you're running some heavy power devices it wont be a problem.

Go to Dick Smith - they sell Au to JP/US adaptors for $14 (or there abouts, I need to buy one myself). Don't worry about power, its only high power devices like hair straightners and irons etc that will have issues. Lower power devices like laptops, mobile phones and electric shavers will be fine. I'm not sure what network you're on but my Nokia phone is with 3 mobile and I used it when I travelled to Singapore and Vietnam in 2007 - I just rung 3 up and made sure global roaming was activated. That way when you land in the country you just get a text message from the network providers and

I dislocated my shoulder twice last year so I've been focusing on strengthening it as when I fall over a lot of force will go up through my arm and 'end' at the shoulder. The dislocations weren't snowboard related. On reading this I may strengthen the knees during my gym sessions as well. The new footy season starts when I get back and I can't afford to not run!

XilR8, that's pretty much what I've found in my own research as well. I'm just trying to get first hand experience as I'm sure you're aware that the blurb companies put out advertising their products can often differ greatly from the experience of the customer. As it stands I'm more than happy to believe the descriptions and I'm not worried about it - having lived in South Africa for 5 years I can tell you first hand there are worse places to spend 2 weeks (countries great, and I'm a proud Aussie/South African, but the place has gone down hill that's for sure!) Like I stated in my

Hi all, Sorry if this is the wrong forum - I wasn't sure where it belonged! Has anyone here had any experience with the Wind Jacket Lodge near Happo-One? We will be staying there for two weeks in late February. I've always known it was a shared facility (Hostel). There are 6 of us going, and we have made sure we are all in the largest room (6 share) so no bunking with strangers) and I am fully aware the bathroom and dining is shared with other guests. We're only there to sleep really. Basically I am not bothered by the arrangement at all - but my little brother is. He

We're going to Tokyo on our way out of Japan and will be hitting the shops in town. There are some absolutely awesome designs for clothing from what I've seen and I for one am very excited to blow some cash in Harajuku etc. Seen as it will be mid winter I'm assuming I will be able to grab some cool hoodies and the like. Might be worth your while to try the same sort of deal. I'd assume there would be some shops out in the resorts. Not the same range but maybe the same styles.

Damnit I don't like it when things people say makes sense...I guess you're right. Long as it functions correctly I'll be happy. Not like today when I went ice skating and despite been a beginner the guy who was handing out the skates kept giving me a funny look when I said the damn things were blunt. I Guess he figured it would'nt make much of a difference for me. Finally got a decent pair and was carving it up! Sort of related story...

Hey there, This might be the wrong place to ask but I was wondering seen as there are so many of us Aussies on these wonderful forums, has anyone traveled on one of OZ Snow Adventures packages before? We are doing exactly this and although absolutely everything has been perfect thus far (flights etc) one question popped up that I thought I'd follow up. Whats the quality of the gear they use? We have paid for Board and boot hire (we have everything else and it's a pain lugging the few boards we do have so we may as well hire) but we are kinda scared it will be chipped, dinged and gene
