Watched that on a flight this week. Not impressed and a bit confused.

On the flight back earlier this week, one of the steward guys told me the delay before taking off was that they were at the moment putting more fuel into the plane every day "just in case" something happens before we land at Tokyo. Felt a bit strange when he said that! Something like the one last night, I suppose.

It is good to be back in Tokamachi.

My flight into Tokyo this week was 25-30% full, according to the stewardess.... normally full or close to. Most were Japanese people.

Oh well starting on my way back now. Is the ground safe? Someone last night, asking incredulously... "You're not going back THERE are you!?!?!" Yep, sure am!

So I'm out of Japan now and with family. The general opinion of people here seems to be WHY THE HELL DO YOU STILL WANT TO LIVE IN JAPAN?!?!? There's a real lack of real info outside of the headlines. But unfortunately that is the reality of the situation, and people say they wouldn't set foot in a place as dangerous from earthquakes and this nuclear situation. Total overload on the word 'earthquakes' and 'nuclear catastrophy' are almost convincing me. (Well, not quite, but you know what I mean.) More than a few people have been "amazed" that I will be going back. Sad. Bu
