Some further light snow will fall during the day but in the evening rain is likely at base. Opening, lift & other notes Furano Zone partially open. Kitanomine Zone closed. This morning it is partly cloudy with strong sunshine through the clear areas of the sky. It is not snowing but light snow is on the forecast for today through until Tuesday. The latest Furano Now report can be found here . It is 19c right now and that will be the maximum for the day, which is not quite a warm as yesterdays 25c. The big difference is that there is plenty of wind around right now. It was calm an hour ago but the wind has arrived fairly suddenly and is now blowing moderately at base, so some kind of wind shell will be required for skiing even if the temperature is warm. Today is the second to last day of the season and there is good skiing on the two 800m runs that are open on the upper mountain. Please note, that although the ropeway is operating it is for uploading and downloading only, as the trails to the bottom of the mountain are now closed due to a lack of snow. The snow did not settle on the roads, which are too warm, but it has settled on everything else. The snow fall has eased up and is now just the odd flake, however I would expect it to be snowing at the top of the resort. It is high cloud today and visibility is reasonably good.
