New snowfall at base 1cm
Snowfall at base this season 495cm
Posted on Saturday 23rd February 2019 This is an archived report. The latest Furano Now report can be found here.
There has been a dusting of 1cm of new snow in the ski village overnight. The day is calm with no wind at base level. Above, there is blue sky with a lot of broken cloud mixed in, but still a very clear day with great views all round. The temperature is currently -1c, so it looks like will be into the positives again today. Lower slopes are frosty and will soften later in the sun, upper slopes have better snow conditions. It sure looks like spring has set in, and looking ahead for the next 6 days there is no snow on the forecast and mild temperatures will persist.
