New snowfall at base 19cm
Snowfall at base this season 490cm
Posted on Monday 18th February 2019 This is an archived report. The latest Furano Now report can be found here.
The snowstorm that come in yesterday has passed and this morning there is a buzz around the village as people do some serious snow removal from their driveways. There is 19cm of new snow since the last report. Once again it is a little heavier than the usual light Furano powder, but still of a great quality. Visibility is great with clear skies above, and there is no wind at present. The mountain is sparkling in the morning sun and all that fresh snow has been nicely groomed from top to bottom. Off piste areas will offer great conditions.
