That's it, folks! Later this afternoon the ski lifts will come to a halt and their season will be over. A day of fine and warm weather is forecast.

And as expected the sun is out we have clear skies and it is warm.

Some fresh snow being reported by the resort on upper slopes again during the day yesterday.

Happily here we are today with the weather of yesterday and the day before behind us.

The good news is that it is colder today and there is actually some fresh snow on the ground this morning - the ski resort is reporting 3-5cm across the mountain and I also measured 3cm.

Some fresh snow to report this morning - the resort is saying 5cm across the mountain - though it isn't snowing now and is generally cloudy.

Just a dusting on lower areas as it snows this morning with the resort reporting 10cm on the upper Yamabiko and Uenotaira areas.

A bit more fresh snow to report this morning and the day is starting with mostly cloudy skies.

More fresh snow to report to you from yesterday and overnight, totalling an official report of 10-30cm across the mountain this morning.

The snow really started coming down during the day yesterday!

There's lots of cloud around this morning but some blue sky too and perhaps things will clear up more.

A fine day yesterday with sun and blue skies in the morning and cloud gather as the afternoon went on. Temperatures rose to around +4 degrees C.

Yesterday I think it's fair to say that we were hoping for more snow than we got.
