Hello from Hakuba on this cold Saturday morning.

As you can see from the numbers noted in the lists below, ski areas this morning are reporting up to 15cm of fresh snowfall.

Light (wet) snow is falling outside my window (it's rain/sleet further down) and there has been a slight dusting of snow.

It looks like there's generally going to be 5-10cm of fresh snow up on the mountains this morning.

Yesterday was a cold day and there was some fine snow conditions to enjoy.

Kind of a fine/overcast feel to proceedings this morning.

A snowy morning and trees on the mountains are looking nice and white, though there's a misty cloudy feel going on.

Light snow falling this morning and that is what is forecast for the day.
