Good morning from Hakuba.
Yesterday was a cold day and there was some fine snow conditions to enjoy. Those are only going to be better because I have bundles of fresh snow to report from overnight.
These numbers are of course all noted below, but here's how much snow is being reported on upper areas this morning...
Tsugaike: 55cm
Cortina: 40-45cm
Goryu: 40cm
Hakuba 47: 35cm
Very nice!
25-30cm down here at base too.
It's also windy and unfortunately the wind is causing some issues with some lifts. It looks like a lot of Happo-one is on hold and the Gondola and top area of Goryu is also not open at the start of the day. There might be more. If you are planning on venturing out, be sure to check up with the ski areas first.
Tomorrow should be much calmer and much clearer. In fact, it might be clear skies and sun. With all the fresh snow around it should be excellent conditions.
