Independent snow and weather reporting from the Hakuba region of Nagano
New snowfall at base 4cm
Snowfall at base this season 292cm
Posted on Wednesday 20th January 2021 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here.
It looks like there's generally going to be 5-10cm of fresh snow up on the mountains this morning. (The Hakuba Goryu fresh snowfall numbers this morning seem a bit... kind of wonky. I'm just reporting the official information I find).
This morning there is a lot of cloud about, but some blue sky too and forecasts tell us to expect sunshine during the day today and tomorrow. It is a cold start to the day and should remain cold today and be warmer tomorrow.
After all that snow reported yesterday and a layer since then, conditions should be excellent this morning.
