New snowfall at base 30cm
Snowfall at base this season 240cm
Posted on Saturday 9th January 2021 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here.
Lots of fresh snow to report on this cold morning. 30cm of it. And ski areas are reporting large numbers, the biggest coming from the Usagidaira area of Happo-one... 50cm. Numbers that are reported can be seen below, as they can be every day.
Excellent.
I am very happy to be able to report that I have now been able to report more snow at village base level than I did during the entire 2019-2020 season.
It's 9th January.
That is obviously a very healthy comparison and more like what we expect.
Have a good weekend and stay safe both on and off the slopes.
