Clouds have hung around the tops for most of the day so far leading to flat light conditions at times depending on how much sunlight is able to penetrate.

Today is a little bit of a change from the clear days that we have been having recently.

A nice blue sky day again in Furano with the sun making an appearance for most of the morning and taking the edge off the chilly temperatures.

There was a decent amount of fresh snow over the weekend which provided some really good conditions throughout the resort.

The snows picked back up last night and have continued into the morning.

A rather large weather system moving through the area yesterday and through the night left us with about 10-15cm of fresh snow.

The good news is that there was some fresh snow overnight which amounted to around 5cm at base level.

It is another chilly day here in Furano but the early morning temperature of -21c did rise as the sun started to warm things up.

Wrap up well is the order of the day with very cold temperatures in the resort.

It has been a perfect morning in Furano with clear skies, no wind and the sun shining.

The weekend proved to be pretty good overall with a decent amount of fresh snow being deposited on Saturday and then to a lesser amount on Sunday.

Today was unseasonably warm with a high of -2, some of the warmest weather we've seen all year.

It was cold one overnight, but a blast of snow earlier this morning was a good way to wake up to the weekend.

It has started to snow in Furano but the accumulation has not been anything significant and at best there is only a very light dusting visible at base level.
