Quite a mild Saturday as temperatures in town nudge 0c. There is low cloud which is protecting us from the sun and preventing melt.

There are some light snow flurries coming down but it looks like these could ease up anytime soon.

A very cold morning it is here in the village with the temperature now showing -10c. It will warm up and be around -4c by lunchtime.

The day ahead will be great. It is snowing moderately and accumulating on the ground quickly.

There was another nice topping up of snow overnight. That's another 6cm on top of the already great conditions.

It is a brilliant morning with clear skies affording views across Furano town to the spectacular Daisetsuzan mountain range in the distance.

There has been 6cm on new snow overnight which is wind affected.

With 11cm of very fine and light new snow on the ground it will be an epic powder morning on the resort, so best to get up there asap to make the most of it.

There has been 15cm of new snow since the last report. It was snowing lightly until about an hour ago and it is expected to start again later in the afternoon.

It is a nice morning with some cloud but mainly clear sky above. Light snow is falling and there is 6cm new snow on the ground.

Temperatures are colder this morning and you can sure feel that when you step outside. There were some moderate winds gusts earlier this morning.

Furano has been hit with a major snow front that started yesterday. Total snowfall in the village is a whopping 55cm.

Unfortunately yesterday was a heat wave and it was warm all day long with some light rain early evening.
