There is a nice new layer of powder of 4cm on the ground, and Saturday morning brings clear skies and sunshine.

It is calm with low cloud over the resort this morning. There is light snow falling.

It is a truly beautiful morning here in Furano. I write this while enjoying my morning coffee, bathing in the sunshine and looking at the crystal white vista outside.

I have just been to measure the snowfall and have been pleasantly surprised that the light flurry of last night has accumulated to 9cm.

It was a very chilly day yesterday staying well into freezing temperatures throughout the day.

It is an excellent Sunday morning here in Furano where we are blessed with nice clear blue sky and a further 3cm of new snow on top of yesterdays 39cm!

A great return to winter it was today with a significant fresh snowfall of 39cm.

There is not too much to report this morning. Yesterday temperatures stayed borderline and were hovering around 0c in the middle of the day.

The warm spell came to an end yesterday morning and gave way to cold temperatures and snow flurries.

It is a very pleasant morning in Furano with clear conditions. Above is a mix of cloud and blue sky, and the morning sun is coming down warming the town nicely.

It is a snowy day again with a light flurry coming down and so far about 1cm accumulation on the ground.

The snow started last night and came down heavily through until morning.

The snow flurries continued through the day yesterday with no accumulation on the ground until early evening.

Furano Ski Area did a great job of getting the ski area open as planned yesterday on 24 November.
