Independent snow and weather reporting from the Furano region of Hokkaido

New snowfall at base 1cm
Snowfall at base this season 280cm

Posted on Friday 4th January 2019 This is an archived report. The latest Furano Now report can be found here.

There are some light snow flurries coming down but it looks like these could ease up anytime soon. There has only been a dusting of snow overnight so conditions on the slopes will be the same as yesterday. The clouds are expected to break up during the day and allow more sun onto the town. The forecast for Saturday and Sunday is for light snowfalls, but unfortunately there are no significant dumps expected in the next few days.
