This morning we have cloud but we also have some blue sky and the sun shining through at times.

New snowfall since yesterday morning: 16cm.

We had some fine weather yesterday but it was raining heavily by later night.

Yesterday it was snowing (wet snow) at times in town, rain at others. It was a cold and wet kind of day.

A bit of a damp morning but largely just cloudy early on.

It is a truly beautiful morning here. There's clear blue skies and sunshine and with that lovely snow on the ground, of course.

Snow eased off for much of yesterday in the day time and we had some sun at times, too.

We have a nice layer of fresh snow on the ground, with more to come through tomorrow.

It's a grey early morning and feels fairly mild. [9am update: clearer and sunny now]

Yesterday was a fine day and quite warm during the day time - and rather windy, too.

There hasn't been any fresh snow and with the existing snow getting less in Mitsumata, there's now a bit of walking involved between ski lifts.

We had rain overnight in town, heavy at times, and it looks like there might have been some more snow higher up.

It's a beauty of a morning, too, with clear blue skies and much milder conditions.

Now that all the bears have gone to sleep - hopefully/please/maybe not - we start this morning with a celebratory blanket of snow in town.
