Another happy report for you this morning from Shiga Kogen where we have another solid (at least) 25cm of snow since yesterday.

After the snow of yesterday which continued well after my report, it's a cracking start to today with blue skies and sunshine.

Around 30cm of fresh snowfall in places this morning.

It is a beautiful Christmas morning here in Shiga Kogen.

And this morning sees the Ichinose Diamond, Sun Valley and Maruike areas of Shiga Kogen opening.

I enjoyed a great half-day yesterday. The sun was out and there were some fine snow conditions to be found as well.

The forecast said we might have a break in the snowfall this morning before snow coming back tonight.

Last night we had some horrid rain falling for a while but happily this morning we wake to snowfall.

It's blue skies and sunshine this morning after that snowy weekend. Keeping very cold though.

Yesterday was a bit wild at times with the snow coming down and strong winds as well.

More snow in Shiga Kogen this morning and at least 15cm piled up and more coming down nicely now.

The skies cleared up yesterday after the snowy start and this morning we are enjoying fine sunny weather (after a more cloudy start).
