Bit of a buzz in town this weekend as it is the first time that the whole resort is open. Still, pretty quiet though and no lift lines to report!0cm of the white fluffy stuff on our doorstep.

After the "magic foot" two nights we got hit with a "phantom foot" last night with Mother Nature depositing another 30cm of the white fluffy stuff on our doorstep.

It is a beautiful start to the day here in Nozawa Onsen. It snowed for most of the day yesterday and eased into the night, and then we woke up to blue skies and fresh snow on the courses this morning.

It has snowed all night in Nozawa and we are happy to welcome back the 'magic foot' with around 30cm of fresh snow falling overnight.

So after some deep winter-like conditions early on we have bounced back in to a warm spell the last few days in Nozawa.

Lovely weather conditions this morning. The sun is out and blue skies above.

Another 5cm or so of snow since yesterday at Nozawa as the snow clouds moved back in later on yesterday.

Another 10cm or so of snow to add to the tally since the last report on the top runs, 5cm or so on the lower runs, as the snow tally mounts up nicely.

The heavy snowfall has eased off somewhat today and we have had perhaps 10cm or so up on Yamabiko since yesterday and just slight snowfalls lower down.

That storm we were expecting might have been delayed, but we sure got what we wanted out of it yesterday and overnight.

Uenotaira is open this morning as is the Bunabayashi course, with the Uenotaira Four lift operating this morning in addition to the Nagasaka Gondola and the Yamabiko quads.

No new snow to report this morning and actually the sun is out and doing it's shining thing and we have quite a lot of blue sky to enjoy.

It is a beautiful morning in Nozawa, different from yesterday for sure with that wet stuff falling from the sky.

Nozawa opened yesterday of course and it was a cold and snowy day out there. So snowy in fact that the resort this morning is telling us that they saw 40cm of fresh snow up on Yamabiko since yesterday.
