That storm we were expecting might have been delayed, but we sure got what we wanted out of it yesterday and overnight. With 60cm of new snowfall at Yamabiko, and a good 20cm lower down the mountain, I think it was a good day.
The snow didn't actually really start happening until the afternoon, but it really set in quite quickly.
It is continuing to snow this morning and we will probably see conditions continue like this all day today and into tomorrow as well. Quite heavy snowfall due tonight.
It goes without saying of course that this is all great for the mountain, and while we are not seeing more open up this morning it shouldn't be long before we see more runs and lifts opening up.
