Here we are... the last day of the 2024-2025 snow season in Nozawa Onsen.

The ski area is closed today due to strong southerly winds.

Hopefully we'll get to enjoy some sunshine over the weekend.

It has been warm. A warm day yesterday, up to 18.4C in the village in the early afternoon.

The ski area is reporting light rain up on the open areas as of just before 8am, but hopefully that won't last long.

There has been some snow up on the top area of the mountain. The ski area itself if reporting 5cm at Yamabiko.

It's a bit of a damp/wet morning but from the webcam it looks like the top Yamabiko area is above cloud. A good reason to get up there!

It's the last day of March. We have fresh snow. And adjusted ski area operations.

Right now, the sun is out. There's a fair amount of cloud around too, though, and we might get some more snow falling by lunchtime.

It has been snowing in the early hours of this morning and the ski area is reporting up to 9cm as of 8:12am. My measurement is 8cm.

It is a rather dull and cloudy/overcast morning (a bit brighter earlier on).

I was a bit naughty this morning. I spent a few hours over at Madarao. Blame my visiting friends. And, sorry, Naski.

More snow, hurray, with it still snowing. Seems to have started in the middle of the night, with the ski area already reporting up to 15cm of fresh on the mountain.

It has been a very fine morning here.
