A cloudy morning.
Hopefully we'll get to enjoy some sunshine over the weekend.
From tomorrow, the extra lifts and runs plan to be open/available again for the last part of the season... until Tuesday 6th May.
There's still good snow cover up on the open runs. The snow might be starting to look a bit tired and 'less white', but cover is not an issue. Just keep waxed up.
Snow is quickly retreating from lower areas of the ski resort now. But there's still snow around in places. And we are in the last week of April!
Official snow depth numbers (reported by the ski area):
Yamabiko: 155cm
Uenotaira: 130cm
Lower sections: finished reporting for the season
The following courses are available:
Yamabiko A
Yamabiko B
Yamabiko C
Yamabiko D
Yamabiko E
Kokenashi
Lower areas all now closed - you need to take the gondola back down to base
Lift operations today:
Nagasaka Gondola (8:10am-3:00pm; last one down at 3:30pm)
Yamabiko Number 1 quad (8:25am-3:10pm)
Yamabiko Number 2 quad (8:20am-3:20pm)
Scheduled lift operations for the rest of the season:
The Nagasaka Gondola and the Yamabiko quad lifts are scheduled to be open daily until the end of the season
The Uenotaira quad, Paradise quad and Skyline connecting pair lift are scheduled to be open 26th April through 6th May
