Hello from Nozawa Onsen.
The ski area is closed today due to strong southerly winds.
Some southerly winds yesterday, too, and with some very warm temps too any remaining snow in lower areas was quickly disappearing and the snow line moving up the mountain. You could almost see it moving! ;)
OK so tomorrow the wind shouldn't be a problem and we enter the main/big section of Golden Week. Weather doesn't seem like it is going to be clean-cut clear (like it often is during Golden Week) with some mixed conditions showing up on various forecasts. Currently Monday is looking the best bet for clearer and sunny skies.
